New Service Gives Small Businesses Websites for 97 Cents

Leo J. Vidal, a lawyer, CPA and internet business consultant has announced a new program to help small businesses become more profitable.  It is called the "97 Cent Website Program" because he is offering to setup a new website for any small business for a fee of only 97 cents.

 

"We need economic growth and jobs, and I want to teach people how to use the internet to do this," said Vidal. "There are plenty of jobs for people who know how to use the internet for business."

 

Vidal's said one of his goals is to help people start internet-based businesses or, if they already have one, to make it grow faster.  He said he thinks there is a need to educate people, especially small business owners, about what the internet can do for their business growth and profitability.

   

Concerning why he will set up a website for a small business for only ninety seven cents, Vidal said he doesn't think the hurdle of creating a website or blog should stop anyone from starting up or expanding a business. 

 

"I hope reducing web costs for small businesses will make them more competitive," he said.  "Once I start analyzing a business I find other ways to cut costs also.  Plus the internet opens new marketing and sales opportunities throughout the world for many of these businesses."

 

But learning the internet it can be difficult, he said.  "The first time I set up a website it took me 10 days.  The second time it took 10 hours.  Now I can do it in 10 minutes.  There's a pretty steep learning curve when it comes to the internet."

 

Vidal said he first started working with computers and the internet when he got his MBA degree in 1983, and has always been fascinated with how they can be used in business, marketing and sales.   He spent 25 years with Consulting CPA firms, and was a Regional Director with Deloitte & Touche, which works with larger companies.  "My hope now is that I'll be able to help a lot of other small business owners," he said.
